"Bugs Away!" & Aloe Vera Soap

There are 2 new soaps in the molds as I write this! We've been wanting to do an insect repelling soap and were finally able to get to it today. With a special blend of 5 essential oils, this soap is sure to keep those nasty bugs off the dogs. I'm pretty excited to try this one out, it's going to be hard to wait for it to get through the curing process!

The aloe vera soap is also a new one for us. It was blended with a great Patchouli essential oil. Here is some info on Patchouli essential oil:

Patchouli essential oil is used as a topical remedy for skin problems such as acne, eczema, inflamed, cracked, chapped and irritated skin. It is known as a cell rejuvenator and helpful in healing wounds and scars. As an antifungal, patchouli oil has been used to treat athlete's foot. For the hair, patchouli oil has been used for dandruff and to aid oily hair.

This one smells great! I wasn't sure if I'd like the patchouli scent, but it actually smelled quite pleasant. Add in the aloe vera and this soap should be GREAT for the skin.

I can't wait to take these out of the molds tomorrow to see how they've turned out! On the list next.........well, you'll have to stop back to see! ;)
